Dr. Joel Percival

Veterinarian

Years in Practice:
30
Education:
Ohio State University

Welcome to Kirtland Veterinary Hospital! My name is Joel Percival. I have been practicing veterinary medicine since I graduated from The Ohio State University in 1987. I am a lifelong resident of Lake County. I graduated from Riverside High School and attended Hiram College prior to entering veterinary school. After working as an associate veterinarian for four years, I started Big Creek Veterinary Hospital in Concord as a solo practitioner in 1991and in 2003 I purchased Kirtland Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Kroh. I was hired by Dr. Kroh right out of veterinary school and I had the pleasure of working for him for two years. Now I have the pleasure of continuing to grow the practice he established in 1967.

I truly enjoy the small town feel of Kirtland Veterinary Hospital and having the time to get to know our clients and their pets at a more personable level. I have always enjoyed the variety and challenge of working with small animals. I especially enjoy the surgery aspect of the practice.

I am currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners and the Northeast Ohio Equine Practitioners Association. Over the past several years, I have been especially proud of the excellent staff and the veterinarians that we have been able to assemble as a team here at Kirtland.
