Dr. Stephanie Abramczyk

Veterinarian

I have been practicing veterinary medicine at Kirtland Veterinary Hospital since I graduated from University College Dublin in 2016. My interest in veterinary medicine started at a young age, when I started working at Kirtland Veterinary Hospital as an assistant. I enjoy all aspects of companion animal medicine and client education. I love to make connections with patients and clients alike.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband George, our dog Finn and our cat, Charlotte. George and I love to travel and spend time with family.

Dr. Jaccie Tufts

Veterinarian

Hello! I’m Dr. Jacquelynn Tufts. I am a Lake County native and love working close to home. I graduated in 2013 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. I love small animal medicine and seeing everything from your dogs and cats to your rabbits and rodents! My husband Ben and I live in Concord, where we both grew up. We have a daughter named Andi and are expecting our second child anytime now. We have our own fur babies, a Chiweenie named Calypso and a Chinchilla named Harley Quinn that get along great. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your furry family members!

Dr. Maya Sawyers

Hi, I’m Dr. Maya Sawyers. I’m a native Ohioan who grew up in Shaker Heights, but then relocated to South Carolina with my family. In 2011, I graduated from Wake Forest University, cum laude, with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. In 2015, I graduate from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia. In January 2022, I started working at the Kirtland Animal Hospital. I have a soft spot for miniature Schnauzers, especially a one-eyed, mini-Schnu named Lily, who is a rescue. I’m an avid swimmer and love Broadway Musical Theater.

Dr. Chris Martin

Veterinarian

Hi, I’m Dr. Chris Martin. I attended The Ohio State University where I earned a BS in Biology in 2014 and my DVM in 2018. While in veterinary school, I developed a special interest in small animal nutrition and even helped start a nutrition clinical rotation. I initially practiced in my hometown of Warren, Ohio. After moving to Cleveland in 2022, I decided to join the team at Kirtland Veterinary Hospital.

I have a cat, Scout, and a retired racing greyhound, Smarty Girl. I enjoy reading, gardening, and spending time with family.

Samantha Rohricht, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

My name is Samantha, and I am a registered veterinary technician. I graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 2012, and began working at Kirtland Veterinary Hospital in April of 2015. I grew up in Mayfield Heights, but spent many of my summers and weekends at my grandma’s farm in Pennsylvania. My passion for animals began there, where I was surrounded by cats, dogs, sheep, goats, cows, and chickens. Today I live with my beautiful cat, Walter. In my free time I enjoy gardening, hiking at the metroparks, going to trivia events, and spending time with friends and family. I am very excited to be a part of the Kirtland veterinary team, and to help care for all the patients that visit us!

Melissa Muir

Hello, my name is Melissa Muir and I am a Registered Veterinary Technician at Kirtland Veterinary Hospital. I graduated from Tri-C in 2005, earning my degree and passing the board exam. I decided to become a veterinary technician because I love animals and enjoy caring for them. I currently have two cats named Paws and Blue who I have had since they were kittens. In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors and hanging out with my family and friends.

Theresa Sedlak

Hello, my name is Theresa Sedlak, I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician since graduating from Cuyahoga Community College in 2005.  I spent the first 12 years of my career working in Internal Medicine and Oncology at a specialty hospital in Copley, Ohio.  In 2017, my family and I fulfilled our goal of becoming residents to Kirtland, we absolutely love this charming community!  Two years ago, I decided to switch gears, working closer to home became my new focus and gifted me more time to spend with my family.  This decision, by the grace of God, lead me to join the amazing team at Kirtland Veterinary Hospital.

Katie here! I am a mother of a wonderful wildflower 2.5 year old little girl. We have an 8 year old pitty mix service dog, Dexter and fish. We enjoy finding new hiking trails every second that we get. Whether it is arts and crafts or gardening, we love to get messy! I am a Willoughby resident and I have been a veterinary technician for around 10 years. I love bully breeds and exotic pets. I look forward to meeting your fur children!

Robin Messer

My name is Robin, and I am a registered veterinary technician. I graduated in 2010 from The Vet Tech Institute at Bradford School and passed the board exam.  I have 3 dogs-Snickers, Rocket and Sadie. I got married in 2018 and welcomed a baby boy in March of 2021. He is the ultimate joy of our lives! In my spare time I enjoy napping and binge-watching 90-day fiancé.

Hi, my name is Alison and I am a registered veterinary technician. I graduated from Stautzenberger college in March 2016 and have been working in the field since then. In my free time, I like to go to the gym, try out new restaurants and binge-watch true crime documentaries on Netflix. I currently have three dogs, Odie, Yogi and Scooter, and my cat, Sodapop. I would like to add many more to the family, but in the meantime, I’d love to care for all of yours!

My name is Emily and I’m one of the receptionists here at Kirtland Veterinary Hospital.  I joined the team in January of 2021 but have been a veterinary receptionist for the past 8 years.  I currently live in Geneva with my daughter Clara and our fish “Bish”.  In our free time we enjoy glamping, horse shows and anything water related.  I look forward to assisting you with all your pet’s needs.

Hi! My name is Tammy. I started here at Kirtland Veterinary Hospital in February 2021. I had previously worked in an emergency vet clinic as a CSR, an assistant, and clinical supervisor.  In my off time I enjoy camping (glamping), kayaking, and exploring! My husband and I are empty nesters but still have a full house with our 3 adopted fur babies. I am very grateful to have found my furever home here at KVH and cannot wait to meet you!

Hi, my name is Sarah Porter. I recently joined the Kirtland Veterinary Hospital team and am having fun working as a receptionist. With over 10 years of experience in the animal care field, I have a passion for pets and their humans. A few years ago, I moved to Cleveland and enjoy exploring the area, frequenting rock-climbing gyms and cool new foodie spots. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Roo, a sweet hound named Tily, and a bossy cat named El Gato.

My boyfriend and I have two fur babies, Alphie and Checkers, who keep us busy with their constant zoomies and snuggles. When not at home with our cats, we like to hike the local trails or lounge at home playing video games. I am so excited to be here and cannot wait to meet you all!

Hello, my name is Anne and I’m an assistant and a receptionist here at Kirtland Veterinary Hospital.  I joined the Kirtland Family in January 2021 but have been a Veterinary Assistant for the past two years. In the fall of 2022, I will be attending Columbus State’s Veterinary Technician Program and Otterbein University’s Equine Technician Program. In my free time I enjoy showing my Quarter Horses, spending time with my yellow lab, Junior, and photography.  I’m looking forward to meeting you and your 4-legged family members.

Hi, my name is Amanda.  I joined Kirtland Veterinary Hospital in July of 2021.   I grew up fostering animals and volunteering at the local animal shelters in my area.  Due to moving a lot when I was younger, I have grown to bond with animals in a unique way.  Along with having my own dog and cat, I’m always pet sitting others which makes my life pretty hectic.  I eventually want to go into law school for animal cruelty to continue helping the voiceless.

Hi, my name is Giselle Scipione! Around the clinic, I go by Gigi, though. I joined the Kirtland Veterinary Hospital team in September 2021. In Fall of 2022, I will be attending Ursuline College. I joined the team because I am working on gaining as much veterinary experience as possible, since I want to be a veterinarian myself. In my free time, you can find me with my horse, Slightlee Boss, or spending time with my other family members (fur and human, of course). I look forward to meeting your animals, and making their vet experience as comfortable as possible 🙂

Hi, my name is Laurel Nolan, I’m a veterinary assistant! I joined the Kirtland Veterinary Hospital team in September 2019. I am currently enrolled in Tri-C’s Veterinary Technician program and cannot wait to graduate in spring of 2023. I plan to come back as a full-time technician for Kirtland after I am done. I have two dogs, four cats, and a Crested Gecko. In my free time I enjoy going on adventures with my friends, reading, watching too many gaming YouTubers, and taking care of my jungle of houseplants. I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of people and meet everyone’s pets.

Hi, my name is Cassandra Crouse. I joined the Kirtland Veterinary Hospital in January 2020. My husband Ron and I welcomed our beautiful son Cole in February of 2022. We have a wonderful dog named Tucker and a deaf cat named Casper. When I have free time I enjoy baking, caring for my 180 gallon saltwater fish tank, horseback riding, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

Hi, I’m Alana Klein. I happily joined Kirtland Veterinary Hospital in January 2022. I have been working in the veterinary field for the past 20 years. I enjoy taking long walks, streaming a good show, working on some artwork, and hanging out with my family. I have an amazing daughter named Lyla, two cats, two doves, and an English bulldog named Fredo. I am excited about this new journey and cannot wait to meet all of you and your pets.

Hi my name is Marrell, I recently joined Kirtland Veterinary Hospital in August of 2022. I grew up showing horses and have worked on farms all of my life. I have four horses, a dog and several outdoor and indoor cats. I spend my free time travelling and hiking all over the national parks.
